Who is Lina Gavėnaitė?
I’m Vilnius (Lithuania) based artist working across the fields of photography, illustration and graphic design.

Why did you study photography & design?
I’ve studied graphic design in Denmark- I searched for something that would be both creative and practical. A possibility to become familiar with Danish design at that time also seemed very attractive. I must say that studies in scandinavian environment did influence my aesthetic values, I especially fell in love with their interior design style.
Without few seminars that I have attended I am basically self-taught in photography. It’s my passion in which I continuously strive to improve with the help of various books, online tutorials/inspiration and loads of practice.
Do you have artistic reference?
There are many and very different artists that inspires me. In photography I really admire the works of Lara Jade, Zemotion, Akos Major and Garmonique. I love the works of Russian artist Tatiana Plakhova- it’s something truly unique and of extraordinary beauty. But my main inspiration is Hayao Miyazaki ( maybe better known with his “Studio Ghibli” name) -for me it’s a source of infinite fantasy and expression of true values- love, kindness, harmony with nature. I believe that more of such art would make our world a better place.
